Private Dog Walking

  • Weekly rates: $125 per 5-day week; $100 per 4-day week; $75 per 3-day week

  • A la carte walks: $30 for 30 minutes; $45 for 45 minutes; $60 for 60 minutes

  • Same day a la carte walk requests: $33 for 30 minutes

  • No additional charge for 2 dogs; $5 additional charge for 3 dogs

We take your dog for a full 30 minute spin for the physical exercise and mental stimulation all dogs need. A la carte walks can be booked for up to one hour.

Our one-on-one walks are catered to your individual dog. Some dogs like to run, while others live for a good sniff at all their favorite spots. We will accommodate the speed and rigor based upon your dog’s age, health, and preference.

We keep a sharp eye on the surrounding environment and your dog’s body language, not our cell phone (except to snap a quick photo to send you progress reports). Our goal is to maximize your pet’s safety and fun.

We always pick up dog waste, wipe your dog's paws and towel dry in wet weather, and refresh their water bowls.

Private dog walking services are available during daylight hours between 8am-4pm, depending on DST (Daylight Savings Time). Daily walks can be booked indefinitely to secure your dog’s time slot.

As a former NCAA Division I athlete, the owner of The Collar Club of Virginia thrives on the exercise dog walking provides as much as your dog does so you needn’t ever worry about them being brought back before their time is up, unless extreme weather conditions dictate otherwise.

Guidelines for Recurring Private Dog Walking

·       There is no charge for cancellations as we understand “the unexpected” happens. We do ask that as much advance notice be given whenever possible.

 ·       The Collar Club of Virginia will make every effort to reschedule cancelled visits, however, we ask that clients do their best to maintain their dog’s schedule, including scheduling their dogs grooming appointments, regular vet check-ups, etc., outside of private dog walking visit times whenever possible.

 ·       Additional nonrecurring dog walks will be considered a la carte and will be charged accordingly – see rate schedule at the top of page.

 ·       If there is a no-show or we are already in transit before a visit is cancelled, there will be a visit charge based upon the aforementioned rate schedule.
